I had no idea until now that they saved Yerranderrie. It was at the epicenter of what later became the Green Wattle Creek and Blue Mountains fires. In fact before Green Wattle Creek they even called it the Yerranderie fire or the Colong Stock Route fire after the name of the only road in and out (an old cattle trail).
