My amateur fire forecast for tomorrow based on all the public sources I've found...
High Range (where I'm at) will be at a mild threat level. The wind is not in our favour, but there isn't a whole lot of fire in the direction of the wind source and what is there will probably need to cover already burnt ground to get to us. So I'll need to remain vigilant but not at the same stress level I've been at over the last several weeks.
Saturday might be an increased threat, because high winds overnight from the south could push the Currowan fire north and further into our area.
Canberra is a completely different story, along with the Top End and Kangaroo Island at the bottom. It looks as if these will be at very high risk for Friday. I would not wish a fire on any living thing, but if anybody needs to experience the sheer terror of what we've been through, it would be the pollies in Canberra.
